San Ace H1011 is yelling at me!!!

So i didnt have my computer on for about 2 weeks(i was in south africa) and when i did turn it on my san ace fan would make a little screachy noise like it needs oil. and its been a week now and it does it occasionally and its doing right now. Should i take it out to my bearing grease gun for like tractors and inject a tiny amount of grease??

no i dont. and it could have been humid when i was gone. not sure

I think San Ace fans are servicable. Use a drop of straight weight oil, 2 in 1 oil or sewing machine oil. Just a drop.

But thats your call. Id rather just get new fan. Anyway did you try blowing it out? Also have you EVER taken apart a fan before? If not I would buy a backup just in case.

Yep. Take sticker carefully, put a drop of sewing oil (or hair clipper oil). No WD-40 or cooking oil.
Then put the sticker back.

Old thread necro but I am having this issue with one of my San Ace H1071. I removed the label and put 2 drops of sewing machine oil in, stuck label back on but it still is quite noisy. It spins fine with little vibration and moves a lot of air just like the other ones I have. It also makes the noise at both low and high speeds. Any ideas what to do next or is it junk?
