Kicker is this 1 gb 6950 will probably perform as well as the regular one 95% of the time. Doesn't seem like nvidia really has an answer for that, unless I'm missing something in the 560 specs. Now if the shaders can still be unlocked that'd be a real winner. Even if it's a non-reference board and can't take a 6970 bios as long as the core isn't laser cut I'd imagine someone could figure out how to just unlock the shaders.
