Hi all,

I was wondering if someon could help, and maybe has a similar vcard

i just bought this videocard: Sapphire 7970 3GB dual X model 11197-11-40G - it's not the OC version, just standard with dual x cooler

but searching on the web just growth my doubts....

first of all, it's not specified neither in the sapphire website if the card has got the dual bios switch... even for the OC version. I hope so for flashing one with this version (because they seem exactly the same card!)

as i see my PCB is the blue one: they say it's newer than the black one, wich is the reference... wich is better? and will the new pcb features Boost technology? Because there is an identical version called "SAPPHIRE HD 7970 3GB GDDR5 OC with Boost"

The "OC" and the Boost are 2 different cards(I have the OC) First thing to do if you haven't already is download GPU-Z from right here no TPU and check it there. Then to help folks here out post a pic of your GPU-Z

I still haven't the card right now, but i bought it on an offer

I wanna know if the card is flashable and if it has dual bios

mine is 11197-11-40G ..... i wanna flash it with the same card but version OC and Boost ( 11197-03-40G ) ..... same pcb, same everything, except bios i think

And for everyone has got a Dual X 7970 with a blue pcb... let me know if it has or not the little bios switch.
Thanks

thank you but i've already noticed that... there are several shops that mark "11197-11-40G" as dual bios, some not, but i was searching a "physical possessor" to confirm that...

so, i searched the "OC boost version" bios in techpowerup bios collection, but there's not the version i'm looking for... anyone got it? the card is (11197-03-40G)

+1 to this, if there is no solid indicator of a dual BIOS (despite what companies say, in my past experience, they CAN be wrong) then use software to OC. Trixx is good IMO
