I just noticed your PSU, a 500W Cheiftec! Frozencpu.com has the 6 to 8 pin adaptor that will enable overdrive - I'm expecting arrival tomorrow.

This 2900pro seems to be dirt cheap here in Europe too. Debuting at a price of 239€ which is roughly 330$. Might seem high for people in the other side of the pond, but thats quite a bargain over here.

Hey all, im watching this thread as well because i also got myself a HD 2900 PRO. But the thing is there is something wrong with the Default clock i get in ATITool,CCC,TechPowerup GPU-Z they are

CCC:
Core clock- 507mhz
Memory clock- 514
(no 8-pin for override)

ATITool:
Profile Default- 507mhz core
514mhz memory

Setting on overclock Defualt Profile:
507mhz core
514mhz memory

but in the OC area it says
core 604mhz
memory 783mhz

TechPowerup GPU-Z
GPU clock- 601mhz
Memory 800mhz

Wich one can i trust here? and is ATITool realy supporting HD2900PRO yet? Are you using ATITool 0.27b when you overclock your HD2900PRO? im really nervous when it comes to overclocking so i would appreciate if i could get some of my questions answered.

Kindly regards

I passed out....

Smygel there is 3=2/d clocks(When your on your desktop), and 3/d clocks when your running a game or a benchmark. To use the Over Drive you have to have the 8pin installed, because when you use two 6pins it will not show up.

yeah i know about the 8-pin override :D

Okey so when i open ATITool it will show the 2d clocks in the profile and the 3d clocks will be shown down at the OC area?

Its a little wierd that in CCC are only showing 2d clocks instead of 3dclocks.. if i understand correctly

Yeah I had that to, use AMDGPU Clock Tool. Download it, restart your computer and don't run ATi tool or anyother OC app. Then open it up and click between the 2d and 3d clocks. I think ati tool just gets confused.

If you OC your 3/d clock in ATi tool with 2/d clocks off that will move up in CCC. It shows what it is curently getting.
