Sapphire introduced its newest Radeon HD 4670 accelerator equipped with Arctic Cooling Accelero L7 GPU cooler. Dubbed "New Edition", the card sports a blue PCB and spans across two expansion slots with its cooler. It features clock speeds of 750/1000 MHz (core/memory), and comes in 512 MB and 1 GB variants. Other features are standard, with 320 stream processors, 128-bit GDDR3 memory interface, and DirectX 10.1 support Outputs included are DVI-D, D-Sub, and HDMI. Its prices start at 60€.

I'd take one of these. It's said that the L7 cools like 5C to 10C better than the common L6, and the L6 is pretty good for an all aluminum solution.

You mean the regular 4670, or just the GDDR4 variant? Cause the GDDR4 was always a rare thing -- just something Sapphire was making occasionally.

I mean't the GDDR4 version. I guess it makes sense, there was never a whole lot of demand for it and so GDDR4 production was always rather low IIRC.

As for this new 4670, it will be interesting to see where this is going in terms of price. The R800 series is almost out the door afterall.

The 4670 is probably my all time favorite card due to its performance, power efficiency, and price.

With that said I don't know how much a better cooler can benefit this card since it already runs cool on current coolers. The only positive I see is lower noise levels and fan control if its properly implemented. I doubt the improved cooler will help you overclock more than whats already available.
