Hopefully someone can help me out with the following: I'm using a second hand GPU and had black screens during boot until Windows was loaded. This is a full UEFI setup, so no legacy/CSM. Upon switching the VBIOS selector on the card from "silent" to "performance", the issue was resolved (POST was visible again) so I presume the previous owner flashed some quirky VBIOS.
I want to restore the original "silent" VBIOS and requested it at Sapphire. They returned me the VBIOS (cryptic filename 366Y050U.S4J) I already had on "performance" mode, saying that both modes use the same vbios...this strikes me as odd, what's the point of labeling the two modes as "silent" and "performance" if they use identical settings?

Thanks in advance.

- Should both modes have the same VBIOS and do they get their silent/performance instructions from elsewhere (other than the VBIOS)?
- Is the VBIOS I have on "performance" really the original "performance" VBIOS?
- Does anyone have the original (or a appropriate) "silent" VBIOS for this card that is UEFI proof?
