Yay!! :)

I carefully removed my heatsink and shined off the thermal paste (gently of course) to find a sexy r360 hiding under my heatsink.

After my euphoria went away, I decided to try to install my ATI Silencer 3. And unfortunately, I can say that it is not compatible. No worries I didnt destroy my card :) It was fairly obvious you can't do it.

So for those of you that have the Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro Ultimate Ed. (256meg/bit), no dice on the Silencer 3.

I'm running on my old 9500 pro right now, and I'll be getting the ATI Silencer 1 in the mail.

So..yeah.

Can do with a Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro Ultimate (256megs/bits):
Flash BIOS to 9800 XT
ATI Silencer 1 (So I'm assuming at this point)
Can't do:
ATI Silencer 3

Just wanted to give a heads up.

Thats the thing I can't figure out..

I almost want to say it has a configuration of its own ahah.

But theres only two things it could possibly fit on. A Silencer 3 and a Silencer 1.

The manual for the Sil 3 says it works on 9800 Pro 256megs and XT's, but that didn't happen. So....I believe that the card must have the layout of a 9800 pro 128 maybe?

Not sure :)
