Hallo i bought a new gpu rx 580 8 gb pulse revision 2 it has samsung rams and voltage controller ncp81022.
I unscrew the fans and i found that the fans are created april 2019, so its a new card created from manufacturer.
Its a revision with 2 bios with a switch.(a rare revision)
A game one bios and a compute one bios.

The gaming bios that has is very old and has very old gop uefi. (1.61) (24-3-2017 bios)
GPU Device Id: 0x1002 0x67DF 113-4E353BU-O4E
Is this: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/191713/sapphire-rx580-8192-170324
I upload it here also (It has same md5).

Since you have dual bios, You can flash one of them, just remember two rules:
1)Search for memory support(You current chips vs wroten in description)
2)Be sure to flash with latest atiflash
If something's going wrong - choose Your second bios and flash 1st(or 2nd), to flash faulty bios you can switch bioses even before flashing - right bios is a must only for starting system(during PC bios initialization)
And 3rd rule: don't do anything till it works. If you want some more - be ready for any issues, maybe they will be more serious.

My question is simple the first is my stock bios and it is already uploaded to techpowerup and it has the Device Id: 0x1002 0x67DF 113-4E353BU-O4E (2017 bios)

it is compatible with the second one that is also uploaded here with GPU Device Id: 0x1002 0x67DF 113-4E353WU-O67 (2018 bios)
Both seem to have the same meory support.

All the details is in my first post.

Since we're talking about Polaris 5** - there is no need to patch/have any troubles. I've written all the rules you have to mention

Thanks i will try it.
I download the winatiflashtool.
Do i need to disable the GPU in device manager like nvidia before flashing or i need to uninstall the driver?
Or i go a flash it with driver installed?

Edit:
I load the bios in winatiflashtool the image size is a problem?

You do not need to disable the card.

Just flash the file.

In most cases you do not need to uninstall the driver

Yes it worked.
A change that i spotted is quicker bios start . (0,5 sec)

Why they use so old bios in a new card?

OK after testing with 1 hour bfv firestrike stress test and superposition benchmark.

I observed some fixes:
1) now it can show 640x480 + 800x600 with cms(combatibility mode) enabled. I tested personaly with a marvell sata controller with the stock bios cant show the boot menu.

2)the voltage is more smooth and i explain why:

1.jpg
2.gif

The max voltage spike is 1.156 (vid 1.150---> voltage 1.156) the old bios has spikes 1.19 voltage. All with powerwattman at stock in both cases.

3) After 1 hour gaming i had 4-5 memory errors with games like shadow of tomb raider and bfv. Now u can see that is 0 and maybe something to do with voltage spiking.

4)This bios has released from name (second picture) as you can see for the same card that use h5gc8h24ajr memory. But it includes as u can see the Samsung memory so we benefit also.
U can see clearly the difference:
Stock bios:Build--> 378291 changelist-->1390236
New bios: Build-->424908 changelist-->1582656

5)With old bios i had with same 31 temp room 79 gaming in bfv and 84 in firestrike.
With new bios with 30 temp room 74 gaming bfv and 78 in firestrike.
In old bios i used +10 power limit to not throttle in game now in bfv i didn't notice clock change with GPU. In superposition benchmark it throttled in very few spots like 1350 clock.

6)
I also tested the ports in the card the 2 HDMI ports and the dvi-d port works as intended like the stock bios. I don't have dp monitor to test them also.

Yeap 4-5 after an hour intensive gaming.
I think the default bios gives the imc 0.90v at 2000 and this 0.95v at 2000 but i don't remember this.

Double check the differences in bios files use them both

If you look through these files, make sure they have clock speed of 1366/2000 or 1366/1750, have Subsystem ID of E353 and have Samsung as the memory type.

Bear in mind some files have hynix too, it doesn't matter as long as Samsung is specified in the Ram List.

Ok good, another avenue is to contact Sapphire, Give them info requested to receive a bios file. What I gave was a definite verified bios, those others are unverified yet with correct info contained in them makes the card work

I already contacted sapphire and they told me that i have the latest.
I believe that use the very old bios when they have Samsung memories.
Also i find another improvement.
With hdmi monitor when i am in a fullscreen game it takes 3 sec to go to dektop now it goes instantly.

That means they improved it. Look at my profile and see where i reported a driver fix

I saw your profile but i didn't understand what u mean.
Also i found here that someone else has the same problem:
Default bios like mine: (it was a an xfx with same voltage controller)(spikes at 1.18 and i have seen 1.20in mine) powerwattman says 1.150 mv

1.jpg

New bios after stress test with power limit also +10%: (powerwattman says 1.150 mv)
2.jpg

Definitely all these SKU# 11265-05-20G with samsung 8gb memories worth to update to this latest version.

Spikes to 1.18 and 1.20 make the vrm work harder.

I'm glad you did some research on it, but it all depends on the subsystem ID and the memory brand, clock speed can be a variable, you cant put a elpidia only bios on a samsung/hynix/micron based card unless if it has the ram name and memory tables contained in it, that is the leading cause of bricks because most end users fail to look at the smallest details without requiring a hex editor.

That is why it is so important to have a gpu z screen and model number/sku/part number sticker info here.

I already contacted sapphire and they told me that i have the latest.
I believe that use the very old bios when they have Samsung memories.
Also i find another improvement.
With hdmi monitor when i am in a fullscreen game it takes 3 sec to go to dektop now it goes instantly.
What is the bios that worked for you? If you remember and can tell me or share the link I would be very grateful. I have had problems modifying the bios in my gpu and now only the standard bios that I show you in the capture is left usable.

That first gpuz capture is the only functional bios that I have left in the gpu model rx 580 Shappire Pulse OC 8gb (if I'm not mistaken the v2)

The 2nd BiosOriginal.rom file is the bios that was left unusable or dead after trying to do the biosmod. The problem is that although I have the bios saved I can't recover it and I don't know why.
I follow the steps that have been indicated by opening the console as an administrator and running version 2.87 of Atiflash

C:\atiflash_287 (enter)....and then
amdvbflash -p -f -fa -fs 0 BiosOriginal.rom
The bios is overwritten perfectly but it does not give me start or image, I do not understand what is the mistake I am making

The 3rd file is a screenshot of that BiosOriginal.rom file that I took from BiosPolaris Editor and it shows what the memories are
K4G80325FC (SAMSUNG_2)
H5GC8H24AJ (HYNIX_4)

The last and 4th capture is the functional bios that was left in my gpu
