Sapphire TriXX supporting Crossfire

Since Wizzard wrote TriXX, it makes logical sense to post this here.

But when will TriXX successfully support Crossfire?

I haven't at all been able to get TriXX to work when I've been running my 6870 Crossfire.
However, if I disable Crossfire, it'll work fine, and I can which ever card I'm running to 1200MHZ.

I'd much prefer 1200MHZ 6870's in Xfire over the current 1000MHZ 6870's in Crossfire I'm using.

Thanks.

I've disabled ULPS etc, and still no go.

It worked fine when I used it. I know I had some issues with the sync check box (don't uncheck it or else). I ended up switching to AB. Sorry i wasn't much help.

When i had two cards in crossfire both trixx and afterburner were very unstable, often the best i could get out of them is setting a higher voltage and then it freezing and causing a restart and the first time around the cards carried the higher voltage but then after another restart they were back to the stock voltage so it was only useful for running some benchmarks.

I would hope it is just a problem that will be fixed in future versions but until then i have no suggestions as to how to get it to work.

I have Afterburner 2.1 beta 4. After turning off ULPS it works perfect. I have had crossfire since the second week the HD 6870s were out. I only blue screen at 5.2GHz+ on my cpu

I'm unsure what version of afterburner i was using, i ordered on launch day so it was whatever version first supported the 6970 and i never updated past there.

TriXX bypasses the BIOS cap of 1000MHZ though.
Each one of my 6870's can do 1200MHZ.
Afterburner works fine for me.

Afterburner config and change to unofficial overclocking.... I have never gone past 1110Mhz but I am sure it will go

Sir pray do to tell what cooling you are using and what is the voltage requirement for 1200?

Sounds speedy!

What's the actual gaming difference with a single card at that clock vs stock?

I'm trying out TRIXX with the new 11.1 driver and noticed some strange issues.

Both cards in Xfire overclock but I can no longer use the power slider in CCC.
Also, I can only setup the Fan profile in TRIXX for the top or primary card. It doesn't work for the secondary card. I guess part of the Fan control issue has to do with having to disable
ULPS in the registry to get TRIXX to work.

I am also using TriXX with my Sapphire Radeon HD 6970 and the only complaint i have (besides the current lack of voltage control) is that the program is incapable of retaining the PowerTune setting after applying the OC frequencies.

The damn thing resets to 0% almost every time, even if in the Catalyst overdrive tab, powertune remains set at +20%. If i fire up furmark the card throttles like is on powertune 0%. The only way to fix this is to move the PowerTune slider to some other position, hit apply and then move it back to +20% and apply.

If possible, having a PowerTune slider right in the TriXX program interface would be great.

Are you using waterblocks? That seems a bit high for air.

I found one more bug with the 11.1 driver. My second card defaults back to 800/1250 after awhile from the 880/1325 setting in TRIXX. The primary card holds the overclock.

I also uninstalled and used Driver Sweeper and re-installed 11.1 and still see the same issues using TRIXX.
