SCHEDULED STEAM DOWNTIME, TOMORROW THURSDAY FEBRUARY 4th

For all the STEAM BF:BC2 players, heads up!

It's scheduled to come down at 1800 PST, Valve estimating it should take around three hours to perform the necessary fixes. During that time most of the network will be inaccessible to users, so don't plan on using the Steam community, buying games, playing multiplayer titles or downloading stuff (like updates, etc).

why cant they just use the GMT +/- method

Pacific Standard, which is 3 hours behind Eastern Standard, which is 5 hours behind GMT.. sorry , I do it by EST , so it's like EDIT:5AM GMT i think. don't quote me

Because they are based in America, and I would guess the majority of their customers are American (although I KNOW there is a ton of people from other countries using it, majority would be American)

lol I would be surprised if the majority( >50%) of Americans had ANY IDEA what GMT is ! I don't hate my country by any means, but if you're realistic you have to recognize that the majority of us are pretty ignorant.

its what all us important people set our clocks to :roll:

(since we are so important almost all of us have no clue what GMT is)

I actually had to go out and buy 3 clocks for my shop so I could keep track of Japan, Europe, USA because I get so confused.
