Hi Everyone!

I am looking for a help in finding a software that will lock my PC in one of the following ways:

1. PC lock is initiated manually and an automatic unlock time is set. The PC can not be unlocked during this time, even with a password.

2. Same as the above but with a password that can override the unlock.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

What? Not sure if this is a joke, or what?

The PC can not be unlocked during this time, even with a password.

2. Same as the above but with a password that can override the unlock.

First you say it cannot be unlocked with a password, then you say it can override the unlock with a password. You cannot have it both ways.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I would you be happy with either functionality scenario.

To clarify:

Scenario 1: PC lock is initiated manually and an automatic unlock time is set. The PC can not be unlocked during this time, even with a password.

If the above it not possible or available, then the below would also work.

Scenario 2: Same as the above but with a password that can override the unlock.

Thanks.

I know of no software that will support your Scenario 1. You can use Task Scheduler to automatically lock Windows at a certain time of the day, but that is not what you are asking for.

But for Scenario 2, why not use the one built into Windows? If you have set up Windows so it requires a password when you start it, then it should require a password to unlock it when it comes out of sleep. And it should go to sleep automatically after a set number of minutes of inactivity.

And of course, to manually lock it immediately, you can click through the Start button options, or do it instantly by pressing Windows key + l (that's a lower case "L").

And then of course, you need to make sure you are the only one who knows your password.
