Today, Star Wars fans have another way to feel the power of the Force with three new collectible Seagate Hard Disk Drives (HDD) inspired by heroes and villains of the Star Wars galaxy. Featuring Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Han Solo, the latest additions to the company's line of licensed special edition storage devices bring speed, capacity, and striking appearance to the battle stations of Star Wars collectors and tech enthusiasts.

The special edition FireCuda external hard drives represent the famed characters with three unique aesthetics: the courage of Luke Skywalker, the raw power of Darth Vader, and the confidence of the galaxy's favorite smuggler, Han Solo. The drives offer customizable RGB LED lighting and each design features a default custom character light out-of-the-box: a forceful blue for Luke Skywalker, a wrathful red for Darth Vader, and a white glow reminiscent of the Millennium Falcon for Han Solo. With built-in and customizable lighting options, all three of the drives enable Star Wars enthusiasts and gamers to awaken the powers of the Force at home.

With 2 TB of capacity, the FireCuda External Hard Drives (HDD) work with PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox so tech enthusiasts can gather and store a galaxy of media, files, and games, regardless of operating system. Designed with USB 3.2 Gen 1 connection for universal compatibility and quick transfer speeds, and USB bus-powered, the lightweight drives are the perfect match for Star Wars fans looking for spectacular storage while on the go. The special edition drives include Seagate's one-year limited warranty and one-year of Rescue Data Recovery Services so users have peace of mind as they embark on adventure.

The new collectible drives are available today for $109.99 (2 TB). For more information, visit this page.

I mean....why not...if it works, it works. At the end of the day if you are fan of something you might as well get a theme-based hardware. I wouldn't mind a Homeworld 3 edition hardware.

Whats next a Phineas and Ferb drive or Doremon inspired drives?

I would put my money on Call of Duty Warzone, Apex Legends or Dota.

Btw. anyone got a link where I can download that ballsy wallpaper?

I think they already had CoD themed drives(I do remember seeing some game featured on external drives apart from Cyberpunk 2077).

Edit: its WD who sells CoD themed drives and Seagate has Halo themed drives for Xbox.

The Beskar Ingot series was creative - they made the drives look like they were actual metal ingots from the Mandalorian. Here, on the other hand, I only see a generic hard drive with random pictures on it.

I guess with 5 year olds seemingly able to build custom PCs these days, these would sell up a storm.

So themed hardware is considered "childish" now? I must be a child then, because I'm torn between the Vader drive and the Han Solo one :p

"Childish" because imo they don't make any sense. Storage space is a commodity, why would you spend more money for a paint job on the same drive they've been selling for years? Not too mention they're doing this with 2.5'' HDD, a product class that needs to die (SSDs are still more expensive but you they are reliable, 2.5'' external hdd aren't)

People pay extra for paint jobs on their cars. Why couldn't you do the same with something else?

Did the Star Wars themed Nvidia Titan halo priced videocards ever become collectible (i.e. become worth more than the Titan cards that had the same specs but none of the Star Wars bling)?

I see listings on ebay between $500 and $1,500.

That's an interesting point. At least in cars the surcharge for the color is at most around 3%, here you're paying quite a bit more.

Yeah how about CEO edition with Jar Jar in leather jacket. It could mean much more than a mere joke.

@Ferrum Master

I believe the Titan V CEO edition had better specs than the regular Titan V's, so the difference was more than just bling.
