Hello.
I don't knowif it is possible and if the Video BIOS Collection can read me here, but is it possible to add new feature on the filter parameters for searching in the colllection?
I would like to find card roms with or without efi/uefi, also for size, like "more" or "less" or "equal" or a combination (equal+more, equal+less).
Thanks.

I actually requested this feature a while back ,I don't know whatever came of it ,but it has officially been requested . Just in my time of trying to help people locate the correct bios for the video card they bricked ,I've realized that if there was a function to search the bios version ,or any of the other parameters would make it a lot easier then slowly whittling down ,and going through pages of similar but not correct files versions .

Assuming that it has not been implemented, I would guess there's a good reason that I'm not aware of. Reading it wasn't added because it would be a significant amount of work, or it just isn't doable etc.

Not sure how that is useful. You should know the exact parameter for your card already?

Yeah, because most or maybe all of the efi/uefi roms are bigger than 64kb roms, also you can know if what you want to download can fit your chip or not.

There's a tool somebody made to search the DB for roms with uefi modules. I'm not at my PC right now. So it might take me a little while to find it. I shall return ASAP with the link.

There's no good reason for the size determination. Smaller will still work. The same is the same. And you won't find any that are too big. Even if you did there wouldn't be a way to flash them...AFAIK.

EDIT: Here it is...if I can get it to work. https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/attachments/techpowerup-gop-vbios-sniffer-exe.91537/

I don't actually know how, or if, it works. Never used it. But it's supposed to do something like what you're asking. Hope it helps. Good luck!

I tried it, it's a curious tool, it seems to only retrieve amd hd7000 series efi roms.
Unfortunately, since doesn't get anything else, it doesn't really fit what I asked :(
