Seasonic recently released another Snow Silent unit, this time with less capacity to address a wider range of users. The Snow Silent 750 W is smaller than its big brother, but comes with many of its features like low noise and high quality capacitors.

Another overpriced Seasonic.

No thanks.

I can get a 850w Corsair that is just as good as this Seasonic for $40 less.

Why would anyone pay extra just because it has Seasonic on it...

Just Super Flower.... no need of this or even Corsair.

There are no Super Flower power supplies listed on newegg.

Where do you buy them?

Bulgaria probably. Seeing how he lives there. SF has a bigger precense in Europe and Asia.

Great review as always, @crmaris.
The price is a bit high, but the efficiency and ripple suppression are great on this unit.
What I did find a bit disappointing, though, is that they put so much effort into making this a completely white, clean unit, to the point that the PCB is white, but then gave it a black power switch and black cables... wtf?

Yup you can find Super Flower in almost all major online sellers in Romania and probably Eastern Europe in general. I chose a Seasonic though since together with the monitor is one component that i change rarely.

Nice review, and dam those PCB's that's just plain showing of how good they are. Surly a shame that they used black cables makes me wounder why they did that.

Wait... I've been using one cable each for both of my 280x's from my CM V1000. Should I be using 4 cables?

you could try it to avoid motherboard's pci power lines combustion at some point..

arent evga's g2 and p2 models rebranded superflower units? ;)

in the US market you will find SF units only under EVGA's brand. As for the Snow Silent 750 I bet that once it hits the store shelves its price will be much lower than the MSRP. Else it will face too strong competition.

thres a new fanless 550W enermax manufactured by cwt, its just too bad its not a 650W model with which they boasted a year and some days on top ago.. it came to my mind when i read the seasonic gets loud again at high loads.. i guess theres no reason not to make whisper quiet power units by default today in the highly efficient platinum category, with the option to tune the fan curve to the needs of the user and still not lose longevity of the unit or at least comfortably select say 1 of 3 preset profiles (not talking about the semi passive mode).. i think..

well i am sold to Seasonic ... not because of the high end ... but because of some Bronze unit like my M12II Evo Bronze ... they have a good price, fully modular and they hold quite good up to a Gold unit (specially those from Corsair unless it's a Seasonic OEM but corsair will overprice it too)

was wondering the same ...

why anyone would pay extra because it has corsair on it... (and a Seasonic inside :D ) situation dependent ahah :)

ie: the AX760 is a Seasonic SS760-XP luckily most of the time the price of both unit is in the same area (+/- 0.50$) but sometime (like at my retailer) the difference is around 25 to 40 in favor of the AX ... when i ask why, the tech behind the counter answer me : "it's a freaking damn Corsair bro' you can't go wrong with that one, the Seasonic is not a Corsair." ... i guess he don't know what a OEM is and who is the OEM for the AX760 ... (true story and also a funny moment  and the Bro' is indeed what he used, that guy is a friend ... i don't mind :D )

If i got a Corsair it would have to have Seasonic as the OEM, and to tell you the truth if it ever went wrong it feels that little better that who actually made it will 100% know what they are looking at and know what to do.

So has to be who made it in the 1st place, and i have had BS from Corsair in the passed too so that don't help when they claim they did not receive some thing when they did after having to prove that they did receive it and it was valid.
