I cannot decide

https://secretlabchairs.co.uk/products/titan

vs

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/noblechairs-hero-gaming-chair-black-gc-00z-nc.html

advice??

what is your opinion for the SECRETLABS TITAN and NOBLECHAIRS ?
I need to upgrade my 15+ yr old desk chair I got in High school.

I'm looking at the Secretlab Titan and the Noblechairs Hero. I wanted to get the opinions of anyone who has one of these chairs and figured PCMR would be the place to go. For the Hero I'm looking at the PU leather and for the Titan I'm considering either the PU leather or the fabric.

I'm really liking the Titan with softweave fabric but depending on how tall you are it may not be very comfortable...
Even though the site says 5'7" or taller I would only recommend it to someone who is at least 5'10" or taller.

The Omega may be a better option otherwise.

The issue with chair recommendations is I feel these come down to personal preference.
I like stuff with excellent support over feeling like I am sitting on a pillow others may prefer the pillow.

How can we decide what feels and fits best for you?
The issue with chair recommendations is I feel these come down to personal preference.
Exactly! And it is not just about excellent support, but excellent support in the right places for you! What provides me great support and promotes the best posture and positioning, may feel awkward or even become painful to you after a couple hours.
Go sit in each.

My opinion is, don't waste your money on a gaming chair. They're not comfortable and a huge waste of money imho.

Of course, ymmv but IMO, you would be better off to visit an office furniture store and try out their executive chairs there. Not only are the better ones extremely well made, they are designed to be sat in for hours and hours at a time. And, they look great too. Gaming chairs, to me anyway, tend to look too industrial - and even faddish. With your apparent budget of £350, you will have lots of options to choose from.

I personally have no issues with gaming chairs. The racing style always seemed silly but I find the support on most of them to be about the same... that is, on the firm side and meant to sit back in a little. My thing with them is the formed lumbar pillow. That is the difference between one hour and several for me. I have tried all sorts of chairs... but those are it for me. All sorts of positions just work for me with those. I can sit all day and not get stuck or wake up with neck pain. I will begrudgingly accept a lot for that lol

But that said you kinda gotta know that about yourself. Is your chair now causing you pain? That's how I decide... ask yourself how you'd fix your current chair and go from there.

They both look like they're made for high speed cornering and have firm, rather uncomfortable seat cushions. Neither of which I would want or need for a gaming chair. I do like the diamond stitching on the Noblechair though. This is Techpowerup, not PCMR btw.

According to your post on the OCUK forums...
August 27th 2018..

I bought the HERO but I am sending it back as it hurts my butt after sitting for about 2 hours, i am 5"11 and 80kg with not a massive bum. I have had it about 10 days now but not getting any better.

I have to pay to return it which is £25-40 since its such a big and heavy box which I am not happy about since people said their customer service was good. They accepted the RMA fin but seems they only care about sales and not customer service which i am disappointed about. I would have liked them to deliver the new chair and take the old one back especially since I am willing to buy my new chair from them. I will buy the DX racer king series when they are in stock as they are softer. If you really want the lumbar go for the TITAN as I hear that is less firm than the noblechairs.

Stop wasting everyone's time with utterly pointless questions.

I have one right next to me and it used to be my desk chair. It's ok, but not very good back support and few adjustments.
The "replacement" model for it is much nicer, although I don't actually own one, just tried it out.
One flaw with both models that the arm rests aren't adjustable.

I have sat in both the gaming chairs and the IKEA Markus.

I chose to buy the Markus in the end. It is a good budget office chair, with real leather for the seat, decent adjustable options, and a 10 year guarantee.

Gaming chairs are just built for looking cool/stylish, they are made of PU leather, yet cost hundreds. It is unlikely that they will last for many years. Some might be comfortable but you'll have to try it out first. Never buy before trying.

If you have extra cash you can try to get an ergonomic Steelcase chair which are the best office chairs money can buy.
