Seeking help/advises to buy a new 1440p+ 27~30+" monitor for streaming, video/picture editing and casual gaming...

I need 1 new monitor now that will fit for my tasks below AND that will be a massive improvement of my current screens; BenQ G22...

What the screen will be used for:
My main job is to deal with a lot of voices (voiceovers etc.), so i work a lot with sound, video and picture editing. I also stream and watch a lot of streams (often several at once) since that is my other hobby. I also watch movies from time to time, but i use my TV for that. And ofc heavy browsing.

My budget for a new scree: $500 / €500.

Other requirements: not other than it should have DP and isn't 1920x1080.... heh.

So far, i have found my way to these alternatives:
MSI Optix MAG271CQR
MSI Optix MPG27CQ
LG 32GK850F
LG UltraGear 27GL850
Samsung C32HG70

Unfortunately, these monitors are way over my budget:
LG 27GL850
Asus PG279Q
Acer Predator XB271HU

PS: Please do not suggest Viotek, Kogan and other U.S-only available monitors. I am located in Europe, so we do not have those brands, unfortunately.

Any suggestions/advises you'd have for me?

Viotek is not well known in the US or often recommended. Kogan is out of Australia.

I note some of your listed choices are curved. You really need to decide if you want curved or flat. And if considering curved, make sure that is what you want. I know several people who bought curved who either wish they didn't, or have decided never again.

The problem with curved is you have to sit in the exact center and a specific distance away to get the ideal image across the width of the screen. And only one person at a time can sit in that "sweet spot". This may or may not be a problem for you, but it has been for others.

It is not about the quality of the display, just the viewing angles and distance. And for the distance, it concerns the sides, not the center.

Yes, some of them are curved, but now that i think about it, it'd be very useless for me to get a curved screen because i am planning to mount it on a rack of total 4 screens anyways, so yeah... might as well exclude curved screens then, yes. In addition to that, i have frequent visitors from friends/family that i like to watch some youtube clips/movies with, so a curved would not be good for that.

So yeah, i guess i need to look for flat panels and not curved.

How about Viewsonic? Have you ever checked them?

Viotek is sold here - it is just not a popular brand.

I don't have enough experience with anything above 24" to offer any advice. But throughout the years, I have had good experience with Samsung and Viewsonic monitors.

I bought the lower-end version of this a while back, the 650, iirc (?) and have been loving it. I honestly didn't look into many of the competitors due to how happy I've been with LG lately.

It's odd... I cannot determine the major differences between these 3 monitors: LG 32GK650F, LG 32GK850F and LG 32GK850G..... Other than the higher color gamut on the 850F vs 850G.... The PRICE however is about $120 difference between the 650F and 850G..... The 650F is about $160 cheaper than the 850G.

Confused yet? If not, which one should i go for... I really like the reviews of the LG 32GK* screens!

the black level on
LG UltraGear 27GL850 is only 700:1... quite terrible for photo editing... they advertise 1000:1 but its not true, lot of sites confirm its around 700:1, other than that it is a good monitor, but i require deep blacks.

if you like va panel go for msi optic, thats the best choice, anyway personaly i dont see any value by buying 144/2k? in 27inch, you should pick 30+inch, to be frank i downgrade my monitor from 27 to 22inch, 1080p is all i need now, no need to pay for expensive gpu

After some more checking, i seem to have found my candidates:

27":
Acer Nitro VG270UP - This screen seems to be a no brainer with all the features, connection needs, IPS panel and required VESA. Priced at $400.
Acer KG271UA - TN panel, but has all other features that are good enough for me. Priced at $330.

32":
LG 32GK850F - Already talked about this, so it's a good candidate, though the most expensive screen on the list @ $460 (keep in mind that i am in Europe, so prices here are usually higher than in U.S)
ViewSonic VX3276-2K-MHD - Although lacking 144 Hz, its price is good @ $270 and it seems to have everything else i'd need from a monitor.

So, it's gonna be one of those flat panel monitors, but i am not certain who i will go for.

Any inputs on that?

IPS panel will have better (I think 10bit) color, TN can only do 8bit color. TN is a better choice for gaming but an IPS would be more suited for photo editing.

Also make sure to enable Full dynamic range to get the most out of whichever you choose. In Nvidia driver go to video and adjust video color settings, click with nvidia settings, advanced, change from limited to full.

Yes. You need to narrow your choice down first and decide on a size. I know for me, 32" is just too big. So even if the LG and Viewsonic are much better monitors, I would not want them.

Okay, after some back and forth, i have decided to go for 2 screens; ViewSonic VX3276-2K-MHD -and- Acer Nitro VG270UP. I am quite sure those will be good enough choices for me and my purposes. hehe.

When I first got into multimonitor setups many years ago, I used different size monitors from different vendors because I didn't have the budget to buy 2 new monitors at once. And while I loved having 2 monitors (and still don't understand how anyone can live with just one), I was always a bit disappointed with the fact the colors were different (even if ever so slightly), and with the different sizes too - noticeable when I moved a window from one display to the other - especially when I centered an open window 1/2 and 1/2 over both monitors.

These color differences are not something anyone would notice if just using a single monitor. But with two monitors side by side, white, for example, may have a very slight blue hue to it on one monitor or a very slight yellow hue to it on another - even after calibration! Slight variances only noticeable in side-by-side comparisons when viewing the same open document, webpage or image file.

Once this home became an empty nest and I could afford what I wanted when I wanted it, I bought two new identical monitors and have done so ever since. Now the colors are exactly the same when I move windows from one screen to the next and I never have to worry about different colorations, resolutions or text sizes changing either.

These may not be issues for you, but they are something all those considering going with multimonitors should be aware of before spending their money.

Actually. i haven't gone for any monitor yet. it all depends on how much my work will be able to support me with, of course. If i only get enough for 1 screen, i will only go for the 27" Acer. If i get enough for both, i will go for both because then i can use the other screen for my backup pc in another room. that's why.

When it comes to my monitor setup at my workstation, i will be having 2x BenQ monitors + that 27" Acer mounted on a stand. I am sure it will work nicely.
