The spike seems like something to be concerned about. Use a different benchmark instead to get a better reading such as CrystalDiskMark:

As i understand this, these are op's findings from somewhere, not he's own measurements. But it sure needs more info.
I was reading Tom's site a few hours ago and noticed, that there was recent testing of a nvme-drive (sx8200 Pro, i think), that has had many different revisions after launch, but with same sku. Different controllers, flash and so on. And widely bouncing performance. Could there be a similar case here? That is, If all tested drives behave badly?
But like i said, needs more info. How many drives were tested etc.
And i wouldn't be surpriced, If there's a language barrier involved. I'm battling with it almost everyday.

You can even see this when moving files between NVME drives in Windows 10 using the Display interface from 2 GB/s to 200 kb/s regardless of drive including Corsair, OCZ, AData, Intel and Team. I have not tried Pcie 4 (Seagate 520) to PCIe 3 (SX 8200 2TB) yet though.
