if your going way cheap, go amdcause even their 50 dollar chip will own that pentium d.
I'll put personal money against that claim... My Intel 915D is killing my friends x2, but I guess good ram and a much better mainboard has something to do with that also. Plus windows xp pro tuned and cleaned, vs xp home fat and messed up...
