Server won't boot from 2008 disc!

Hi All

I bought a HP ProLiant rack server off eBay but it won't boot from a Windows Server 2008 disc. It boots fine from a Server 2003 disc!

I noticed during the POST screens it says 'Configured as Windows Server 2003 Server'... Not sure how because I formatted the SCSI HDD it came with. Can't find anything in the BIOS...

Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting the CMOS ?

What exactly happens when you try to boot from the 2008 disc? Does it just skip booting from the disc and move on to the next boot option or is there some kind of error message.

And what are the specs of the server?
