All those pieces are the adjustable pieces, they all have a function, not like a spoiler on a FWD car with 150 or less hp. A spoiler is uneccesary on most cars, it's an addition, that mouse is cut down to a minimum, no fancy cover to hide the adjustable features of the mouse, a better comparison would be removing all of the body panels off the car, pretty much the exact opposite. So 2 completely different things there, that mouse looks like a tank, looks like a piece of machinery, thats why it looks cool, it doesn't look gay like a ricer with a bunch of japanese writing stickers on there car and a park bench on the trunk.

http://img.techpowerup.org/100317/Capture101.png
Thats called function fyi. All that adjustability means it should be the perfect mouse for anyone, I never knew that was a bad thing, I haven't ever seen a mouse that had that much adjustability, most of them only have weights.
And that still doesn't stop it from looking like something a ricer would do. Sorry, functional or not, it looks like ass.

Sexy in my book involves smooth curves. This mouse is nothing like that.

Sexy and masculine are different, this isn't a sexy mouse, this is the CM HAF of mice, the Humvee of mice, this will get your testosterone flowing, unless you have none  I'm not sure why everyone expects a mouse to be sexy ,or wants every mouse to be sexy, I like what Saitek is doing, this is a manly mouse.

And that still doesn't stop it from looking like something a ricer would do. Sorry, functional or not, it looks like ass.

Ricers don't go for a mechanical look, this looks like I said above, a Humvee, or a Bulldozer, it looks rugged, it looks like it is operated by hydraulics, it's a far different look than what ricers go for, if it was rice it would be in chrome, chameleon, bright blue, orange, neon green, or something else that screams "look at me I need attention, I need to be noticed". This gets your attention by the mechanical look.

This mouse doesn't have much more shape than any other mouse on the market, it has a adjustable thumb cradle (all of the top end logitechs do), and thats it, the rest of it fits the shape of any other mouse on the market, but instead of 1 smooth piece of plastic covering the top, it's a few different plates, that are adjustable, it's the Mech of mice. I really can't see how this compares to rice in any way, looking at this mouse makes me want to pound on my chest and grunt, then maybe watch some Home Improvement to watch Tim Allen pound on his chest and grunt.

Nah, like humvees, and HAFs, this is another one of those penile compensation items. Got nothing to do with testosterone, and a lot to do with taste.

When people buy things to be highly functional, fairly often they don't care about the aesthetics.

You don't show off highly functional items as "sexy".

Well then what would having a sexy mouse be showing off? Not everyone likes sexy smooth everythings, I mean most chicks do, but if your a man, why in the hell would you want something thats "pretty". I like the look of anything mechanical, call it what you want to, but I don't look for rhinestones on my mouse.

You don't show off highly functional items as "sexy".

Once again, why are you looking for everything to be sexy and curvy. Eitherway, I cut up the mouse a bit to show something

It's like any other mouse, 2 buttons to click up top, and a thumb cradle. The spot that apparently is too scarey for some of us, is the idea of plates of plastic on the back instead of 1 smooth shiny, rhinestone covered plate, with a bunch of LEDs (now thats rice)

Because I don't like ugly? What the hell does that have to do with being a man?

Sure, there are guys out there that like ugly. Especially if you see the amount of ugly chicks that are still getting married. I just can't understand why.

Because you are shearly looking for something that is pretty, if its not smooth and shiny, you don't understand it, which sounds a lot like my girlfriend  I find good looks in utility, something does exactly what I want it too, thats sexy. Like looking at tools, do you pick the prettiest one? Or the one that does what you want it to do?

Theres 2 different kinds of sexy, one of them is the chicks, smooth, shiny, curvy. One is the mans, flat colors, useful, sharp. You seem to have the wrong one.

I choose the tool that does the job, but I don't define tools as sexy. They're simply tools. Nothing special to that.

So you chose the practical one over the pretty one, and still define it as sexy?

Yes, not everything has to be shiny and smooth to be sexy. I like flat colors, sharp edges, and something that is useful.

And sexy isn't always the same to me, when I look for sexy in the opposite sex I would look for curves, when I look for sexy in a spots car, once again curves, sexy for a truck, sharp edges dark colors, sexy for tools - flat colors and useful. Sexy doesn't fit to one definition for every single purpose, it varies on what I am looking at.

The op called that thing a sexy mouse i and a number of others disagree and say it looks like an ugly robot thing.

I recently showed some pictures of MD PC at college, you should have heard what people said about those PC's, something most of us would call beautiful. "Space Ship, Transformer" or many other things, I think they were impressed, but more confused.

So that's where we differ, I have a definition of sexiness and I apply that same definition on all objects :)

Dear people Arguing.

What is Aesthetically pleasing is subjective.

Your OPINION on the mouse's aesthetics is irrelevant to another person who thinks it looks great, same vice versa.

*edit*
Although I see Thracken has now stated something similar.

How ever to throw a spanner in the works, who cares if a mouse is sexy anyway, it gets covered by your hand !

Agreed. Not my sort of mouse (and weirdly) aesthetics play decent part in my purchasing. Hence why I have a Habu.

Yep, just a different taste, I can understand people not liking it, but it's a bit upsetting when people step in and take shots at others taste, so I had to say something and explain a bit, and now we realize that the difference is far beyond the mouse styling, which makes complete sense. :toast:
