sharing my gta v self recorded video, with full REDUX graphics mod, 4k ultra, reshade active, but I seem to suffer from performance... UPDATE INSIDE!

There are workarounds for that, i'm sure

After a GTA V update you'll need an updated ScriptHookV, otherwise none of these mods will work.

Trust me, I'll be fine

Why not use Shadow Play? I know picture quality might be lower but at 4k and a high bitrate in the recording settings it should do just fine.

Or OBS with a CPU encoder since you have so much CPU horsepower to spare.

Simple solution, don't update GTA5 until the mods are updated as well. Updates can be turned off.

That may work if you don't own a Steam version, I don't know, I have the game on Steam.

About Steam, I don't know if you have been using Steam recently or not but:

Game Updates on Steam can't be turned off....
You only have the following options on Steam:
  • Always keep this game up to date
  • Only update this game when I launch it
  • High Priority - Always auto-update this game before others
And oh, offline-mode won't work either for this game longer than a day, if GTA V hasn't been connected to the internet for a day you must switch to online mode or the game just won't launch.

If you are looking for further performance improvements, with your amount of ram i would suggest you to try to run this game on ramdisk. This will improve minimum framerate, frametimes and loading times but i think the last thing is not an issue with nvme drives.

it's practically on a ram disk, as 12gb ram cache for os, page file on nvme, 24gb ram cache for storage drives, game installed on hp ex950 2TB

No, it'll work especially if you own the Steam version. The Steam client allows per-game update setting adjustments, including to disable. I'm surprised you don't know that.

You need to either update your Steam client or explore the settings further.
There is a setting right below the ones you listed called "Background Downloads" that when set to "Never Allow", effectively turn updates off, even when the game is launched. I just tested this as one of my games has an update and it still ran without the update. It didn't even prompt.

It does not seem to work that way, it says:
