I've uninstalled the game from Steam.

Only now another problem cropped up (which hadn't been there before). When I turn on the pc I get the message that steam.exe is running in compatibility mode and that I shouldn't be running it like that.
When I checked, my steam.exe is not running in compatibility mode at all.
But I keep getting this message every time now.

Shattered Horizon - New Content OTW

New weapons and grenades, about time.

Since the launch of Shattered Horizon we have shown our thanks to players who have supported us by releasing free DLC. That commitment to the community continues with the Firepower pack which will add new weapons and grenades to the game. And while we are not revealing the release date or specific details just yet, players in our Arconauts program have already started helping us test and balance the new weapons.

Seeking to gain an advantage ISA Command successfully launches a rocket through the orbital debris to deliver a cargo of modified weapons to the entrenched astronauts aboard the International Space Station. Meanwhile, engineers at the MMC’s hidden base of operations have been scavenging equipment to create their own new weapons and grenades. Resupplied and rearmed with newfound firepower, the ISA and MMC begin fresh hostilities.

You can set the exe's to run as admin or compatibility if you need to, and when running in Steam they will run as you set them. I had to do this for Sacred2, changing those made the game work properly. You could also just run Steam as admin, but make sure Steam/the game isn't running in compatibility if it's DX10+, otherwise you won't get DX10 games/settings (obviously).
