Should i skip Gigabyte 1080 Xtreme? Real issues?

Hello. So i ordered Gigabyte 1080 Xtreme. After reading tons of bad opinions i am scared now. Not stable on stock clocks, bad fins ets. Anybody here with Gigabyte 1080 Xtreme without issues?

Anyway, one guy has issues with a fan clipping the frame and you panic on the entire line of cards???

Don't know how common that is but it don't sound good even more so if you get one like that GIGA might just blame you for it, but maybe you get one packed right as in that thread it's a known issue so i would of thought it be pretty hard t o blame you for it.

I my self would take the chance, and if they are bent up get on to the retailer and hopefully you got it from some one like newegg were they will typically pay the shipping back to them.

Worse thing you could do is to bend them back. Knowing GIGA will just blame you for it or added damage.

And it's more than just 1 person and not even finished reading that thread lol.

Clearly this would be after you make sure the fans are not clipping the frame and all else is OK. Then yes, i would bend them back. Leaving them won't hurt anything though.

Don't hey ED me... LOL! Our staff banned your arse from our forum!!! Not a fan!

As we said and will repeatedly say until the staff closes the thread, I do not imagine these issues to be a huge problem. One person had his fan blades hit the frame, another had trouble with stock clocks. tons of these were sold and you hang on two problems. I can google the name of ANY card and come up with problems my friend Sew333, Litwicki24, and now zzz123.

Just to clarify, having run an IP check it would appear that the Op is Litwicki24, the only reason I post this publically is because he was banned but it was not permanent, he got a 3 month ban which has expired so he is entitled to come back BUT not with multiple accounts as that is against our guidelines, therefore to the Op, any associated user accounts will be banned, feel free to resume your relationship with this fine community as Litwicki24, if you are to remain however you need to control your constant multiple thread/same topic behaviour.

Card is running perfectly stable, fans not clipping, the fins are bent a tiny bit, nothing i could have noticed without knowing what to look for

Why? It's sew333/litwicki24/zzz123 etc etc again....I have reported the post for the staff to handle this duplicate ID of his as well.

He just doesn't get it and keeps coming back. TPU really needs to figure out a way to permanently ban the guy ready. Hes a disease on these half dozen + forums he posts on asking the same questions, getting the same responses, and him repeating the same question in the thread where it was answered multi times.

If it is litwicki24 then he's only here to annoy people by asking questions and not trying advice given. He pulled me into one of his original threads about whether setting his case on the carpet was interfering with airflow to his PSU. I tried several times to get him to put his hand behind the case where the PSU vented to see what the airflow was like and then raise the case off the carpet and see how much the airflow improved, if any, or just set the case on a piece of wood and he just wouldn't do it. Aggravation trying to help that guy.
