Speaking with a neutral frame:

TPU is forum used by people from all over, all backgrounds. I don't think you can regionalise it. Sure, google.com could be having a Christmassy theme this time around but google.co.in doesn't. And since there's no region specific variant of TPU, we must maintain neutrality.

Besides, the smilies we have, aim to ease human expression and lose their expressiveness after that Santa hat. imagine this :mad:

Far from true I like the People on here or I would not be here. I am an electronics instructor and I tell my students not to separate their work from their clients it is equally important to be sociable as well as knowledgeable. We should never take the human element out of our interactions least we fall into a blind mind set taking the machine to a higher than human level. As science fiction warns us this is one way to end our usefulness.
