Shuttle Inc., the global leader in small form factor computer technology, today announced the latest generation of its slim mini-PC series, the XH310/XH310V. The XH310 series packs Intel Coffee Lake technology, dual monitor support, and expandable drive capacity in a 3-liter small form factor chassis.

Equipped with the Intel H310 chipset and the LGA 1151v2 socket, the XH310 series supports the new wave of 8th Generation Intel Core , Pentium or Celeron processor with integrated UHD graphics; it's able to deliver multi-core performance and fulfill needs for demanding computation tasks.

As for connectivity, the XH310 and XH310V both have dual Gigabit LAN for wired connection. Other connections include four USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, three USB 2.0 ports as well as two selectable serial ports (one RS232 and one RS232/422/485). With HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA outputs for options, users can have better flexibility to run dual-display applications simultaneously.

Moving on to memory and storage, both models have two SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 32GB (16GB x 2) of DDR4-2666, two M.2 slots compatible with SSDs and Wi-Fi modules, and a front optical drive bay to install a slim ODD and two 2.5" drives, or three 2.5" drives without an ODD. Meanwhile, to meet the user's demand for unused optical bay, the products also support 3.5" HDD for increased storage with an optional accessory PHD4.

Moreover, all two models also support the 12V DC input as an available option. This allows users to power applications through a 4-pin motherboard connector, providing greater flexibility in commercial and industrial uses.

Like many other Shuttle mini-PCs, the XH310 series is designed and approved for 24/7 operations and an extended temperature range up to 50°C, making it an ideal choice in serving as a media player for Digital Signage, Kiosk, Surveillance Client or any possible situation.

What does "Dual 4K PC" even mean...
Pretty sure they missed the commas between the words in that name.
Dual referring to dual Gigabit, 4K referring to display resolution and PC is self explanatory.

I think they meant dual 4K display support. E.g. DP 1.2 - 4K@60Hz and HDMI 1.4 - 4K@30Hz...
The iGPU would have to be capable of driving dual 4K screens, which I doubt.

The one benefit I'd like from iGPU is the ability to play 4K discs (since the damn things are DRM and lock out discrete cards).... except this thing doesn't have a disc player.

Bah. Thanks for pointing it out (not that I'm in the market, but still). That makes it a lot more convenient.

IMO it's more suitable for work than for media. To be brutally honest - it doesn't have the looks to make a career in living rooms.
But it would be perfect for offices. I'd love something like that on my desk - with all ports exposed and within arm's reach.

It's been capable at least for the past 3 years. Even the measly low-end Intel SoCs like Celeron N3050 or N3150 can do 2x4K on external interfaces (but only at 30Hz).
