i can see the OPs point if say he ordered saturday and it shipped wednesday supposedly now regardless of if he works weekends or not thats a 3 day wait before it would be shipped cool i can get that but dont say 3-4 day shipping if its going to take you 3-4 days to get around to mail it out. Eitherway i honestly think both sides are to blame here as stated... you lashed out feeling justified i wont deny id be pissed to and gary apparently made the situation worse. but its life things dont go as planed example my 4870x2 died after 7 months newegg gave me a full refund of the purchase price etc etc but it wasnt 5 months earlier tiger direct shipped me a motherboard that arrived DOA and refused to RMA even tho it was only day 6 out of 30 things go wrong do as the others suggested and walk away and just do buisness elsewhere.

I don't understand all those fuss. If I order online, I usually wait for at least a week before filing a complaint, not everyone can process everything immediately. Sure it can be frustrating, not having your product so soon, but sending a mail that is on the rude side (at least to my eye anyway) is not going to be helpful. If you would have asked them politely why it took them so long, I am sure they would be more reasonable to you the next time you shop there. No reason to immediately spit at them with the "Are you kidding me?" route.

not always the case. owners are human. Not to mention everyone does it. When you work for a company you are a representation of them. Wanna know who i was for a few years? I was the Dbag order taker when you decided to be a d$ck in the drive through. you know i would hold you their for like 10min while I counted the change. And if you decided to drive off and not wait id radio ahead to window one and make them hold your food. inturn they would tell you the fries would take 6min to cook and parked you anyway. I was also the cashier at the grocery store who wouldnt give you a discount aif you were an A hole or id say your cupons werent regonized by our system and point out the "participating locations only clause" even if they did infact work.

I'm sorry YOU had a bad experience, it's ok to share I guess but you are only making a fool out of yourself. I think the "customer is always right" crap is dead wrong. The customer is often a moron, the rule should simply be that you always speak politely. I don't like the idea of someone having to continue to be polite while someone yells at them but it's just a good way to cover your ass.

I understand the way you feel...but I believe a business should ALWAYS take the higher road.

Why? I wouldn't want to do business with someone who's going to flip out at the slightest thought that they were being "wronged." They don't have to do business with him if they don't want to. He doesn't have to do business with them if he doesn't want to.

You just never stoop to that level. But i guess I grew up on etiquette, so I expect a bit much, it seems.

And that's on a personal level, nevermind professional. I mean, sure I screw up too, but only on the personal level. And when I do, I'm quick to apologize, too.


But you know, I'm the "loyal cusomter" type, so I purposely am a jerk sometimes when it comes to situations like this...if I may end up spending thousands of dollars, I expect my feet washed. And when they are, you better bet I won't go anywhere else.

You just need to seperate business and pleasure. Gary clearly took pleasure in how he responded, and that was his mistake. I'm not excusing the OP here, though, but I won't be doing business there either.

yes you have the right to feel like this ... and I have a right as a person not to do business with a business that reacts to any customer like that...its unprofessional and shows lake of maturity in regards to how the business is operated ...not to mention it seems as tho it was the business OWNER that resorted to this type of shenanigan. My feelings is all I am stating here.
