Silent 120mm radiator fans

Looking to go as quiet as possible. I will probably be using a rheobus to control air flow as needed for idle time (sleep) and gaming.

Don't need lights or anything as my HAF is already lit up like a christmas tree.

These will go in either a Swiftech MCR320-QP or an XSPC RX360.

Awesome, thanks. I think I'll get three 800rpm ones. Almost doubling airflow for only 3 more decibels looks good to me.

Also, what's good for tubing? Doing all 1/2 inch fittings. I'd like to get either clear or black tubing with blue coils.

keep in mind Scythe Slipstreams are low pressure fans, they are quality fans just not on radiators if your looking for maximum performance. coils are usually used for advanced loops or mediocre tubing so they are not always necessary. Tygon A-60-G, Tygon Silver or Tygon B-44-* are easy picks.

The Scythe S-flex looks to be the better option. As to which one, I'd suggest using a fan controller and maybe the E model.

4. Static Pressure – This is probably a technical specification that you will rarely find advertised on the market, since to the average consumer, it doesn’t mean a damn thing to them. Unfortunately, this is due to ignorance not lack of practical use. What static pressure means is how much pressure a fan generates when it is running. So how does that affect us would probably be the question most normal consumers would ask. Well, basically the greater the amount of static pressure generated, the greater amount of air the fan will be able to push or pull through obstacles, such as a filters, heatsinks, or radiator fins. A good way to check how much static pressure is to put sheets of paper in front of the fan. The more sheets of paper the fan blows up the higher the static pressure.

now replace paper with a giant radiator. like I said they will get the job done, but you can do better. the whole point of spending money on liquid cooling is for maximum performance.

Yes, they don't push a lot of air. You're best bet is to get a fan that can be controlled via a speed dial so you can tone it down and get your desired noise/performance ratio - here are a few:

I have three of the ThermalTakes, and even at top RPM, they are bearable, nice fans. I'm not a big on Thermaltake either.

some silverstone models are good, I would go with Yate Loon's they are still a top model and are inexpensive.

if you pick the right model you don't need a fan controller, seriously would you connect your power supply fan to a fan controller, no. too critical. connect them up to your power supply.

The Nanoxia fans also got excellent reviews for pushing a lot of air and being almost silent. I kind of like the green blades too.

The TT's have a 3-pin connection with a 4-pin adaptor cable (to plug into the PSU *or* MB header). The controller is optional as well - if you don't hook it up it simply runs at full blast. The controller connects to a second pigtail at the fan and has a LONG wire (I'd venture 3 ft.) to reach your expansion slots.

There's also a thermistor that comes with it, so it can be controlled automatically, but I didn't find the temp range vs. RPM very useful.

these Nanoxia fans are expensive you could get 6 Yate Loons in push-pull, is there any reviews of the 2000 model on a radiator?

this was all I could find. models are Nanoxia FX-1250 and Yate Loon D14SL-12 (140mm Low Speed) tested on 120 and 140mm Radiators.

PS, how was that a good review? he didn't even test it on a heatsink lol
