Don't drop aftermarket cooling :) and even gtx660 is very nice card,
but 270x or 760 MSI gaming gets my vote too.

p.s. you should get more performance out of the games you play with new setup and same graphics card.

i have a Gigabyte R9 270X 2gb WindForce 3x OC BF3 Ed. for the PSU 530/550W can be enough but 600W is the safe side (my 530W is a bit above the recommended PSU for my whole build)
i had previously a MSI R9 270 2gb Gaming OC, both brand are quite good and near silent (well the TwinFrzr IV of MSI is a bit more quiet than the Windforce 3X )

    as for mantle :
A10-7700K + R9 270X 1080p custom preset (Ultra with reduced FXAA and SSAO)
    DX11: 30-45
    Mantle: 59-75

Are you referring to this card ?
    http://www.msi.com/product/vga/R9_270_GAMING_2G_BF4.html#overview
Because I don't see an X on the end of the 270, on my retailer store. Is it the same card?

click the UK flag near the search bar, in order to switch to english.
Divide the price in 3.5 to get USD.

oh and BF4 edition coupon are also redeemable (convertible) into Never Settle Gold reward AKA: 3 free games (i had the choice to do so ... but i wanted BF4 :D tho the limite of my coupon was the 30.04.2014)

and my 270X is the new type not the one with the fugly rounded shroud and horrible blue pcb

Yes! Haswell is like a patched Ivybridge. It should have slightly higher performance per watt.

Once AMD and NVIDIA fully implement the Direct3D 12 API, Mantle will become quite moot since they serve the same purpose more or less.

How does the old version differ from the new? Except for the blue pub.
Gigabyte has an extra fan compare to MS dual fan configuration..

I don't know, but gigabyte doesn't offer the old version on their website. MSI card is quieter but runs little hotter. Both coolers are very good and are used on cards with higher TDP like 280x.

only card labeled BF4 edition have a coupon inside. if at the end of the name of the card on the site it has BF4 in it then its include but i don't know if all coupon where limited to 30 April 2014 for redeem.

also the new version seems to be quieter (round shroud and blue pcb Rev1.0 208X are louder than the Rev2.0 )

the WF3X on the 280X is a bit beefier (1 heatpipe more iirc)
