NOOOOOO! not that board... that board is evil.

the slots are too close, and there is no VRM cooling... plus look at the 4 pin power connector... that board will die with your quad, guaranteed.

Pah, forget it, I'll just get a 4870x2 or GTX 285 and be done with it. If I'm going to upgrade my mobo, it'll be when I switch over to i7...

And I really think its a good idea not going 750i. If it is a choice between a 4870X2 and a GTX 285 go for the 4870X2, but I still think a GTX 260 is the best choice at this stage, then keep your money back, and when you go i7 you can buy another GTX 260, or better still a GT300!

The 4870X2 does indeed post decently higher AVG FPS, bit ive had 2 in CF before and the MIN FPS in a lot of the games i played (GRID, COD4, CRYSIS, the list goes on) was par or lower than my 1 oc GTX260 that replaced them, and i never looked back. i dont care for frame-spikes, but i do care about frame dips, and with Dual GPU, it happens a plenty.

1xGT200 = pwnage, thats some math for ya, go buy one already :laugh:

Just get the one. It will serve you well, its a ridiculously low price and then you can ejoy all your games on amazing quality and sit back and let the fight between ati and nvidia continue while you decide what is the next best step for your PC

you can buy a gtx 260 and SLI it once you upgrade to i7!

But I would wait if I were you... price drops COULD occur again... and new GPUs are comming out

Spend your money on an awesome WC setup!!! that way, when you get your new card and i7, they won't be in the 90s centigrade range
