Hey!
Been using hypersli and now differentsli for a few years, came across the first problem for me. Battlefield 1 requires new drivers so downloaded nvidia 375.70 when ever i try to patch i get the error messages "Could not find patch #3. please contact etc" Also the same error for patch 4, tried countless ways to get it working just did a fresh win7 install hoping it would work but still got the same error any fix for this? thanks!

Okay so i got it working should have done abit more research on this forum.. for anyone who runs into the same problem mgi125 has made differentsli 1,6 which works with new nvidia drivers, the download link is found on page 81.

Guys I just tried it on my system. All looks ok and i can activate SLI... However when I test 3d only one card works and the other stats at 0% use. I tried msi kombustor to check.what am I doing wrong?

Could someone send me a patched nvldmetcetc.sys for latest drivrr? When I try to use different sli and hit patch the application crashes i used a patched nvldmetcetc.sys from a prior driver version. Maybe that's why I get that problem.

Actually it looks like it works fine. Msi kombustor wasn't supporting sli correctly. Tried furmark and another game and works fine

I've been playing with that for a few hours and I'm still having a problem.

I have 2 9800gt, the latest nvidia driver for them is 342.01 (tried with 342 as well).
I do all the steps and when the windows boots it shows gray screen and than convert to windows default display driver (low resolution) and write a message the driver crashed..

Most of the people here are for the 27x versions, is there a version support 342 drivers?

I'm using windows 10 64bit

I checked the condition of hardware id's

It kinda managed to work on latest driver (342.01) and with 1.6 version.
It boots up all ok than I switch in the panel to SLI and it turn the screens to black / turn them off then on / creating weird color on one screen.

When I tried to run a game (cs:go) which loads always on 1 of my monitors (i use 2 - both connected to a single video card) it takes a lot of time to load and when it load the other monitor is full of half parts of the menu and such. the other monitor doesn't show anything.

Hope you guys can help me, i don't mind using older driver if it's available.

My motherboard supports crossfire but not sli so i try using this.

Ok so after a full uninstall and reg edit got it working! SLI on a mac pro, but now I have a small issue.... having to reboot into no drive signing each time... (option 7) is there any way around this?

Sorry to ignore your question, but what were the exact steps you took to successfully enable SLI on your Mac Pro?

I've done everything completely as instructed in the README file and entirely on a fresh install of Windows 10 ver.1607 in Boot Camp.

Steps I took:

1. Installed both Asus Strix 980ti's with SLI bridge
2. Installed original NVIDIA® drivers ver.376.33 (confirmed to work by Arkanggel10)
3. Rebooted
4. Turned off UAC on both UAC Settings slider and in Registry Editor
5. Enabled Test Sign Mode with this command: "bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING ON"
6. Rebooted
7. Copied original "nvlddmkm.sys" from "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\" and put it in the same folder as the patcher
8. Ran "DifferentSLIAuto.exe" as Administrator
9. Ran Install.cmd as Administrator
10. Rebooted


I've gotten no errors and everything reads as successful.
I've rebooted and still have no "Configure SLI" option in the Nvidia Control Panel.

I do not know what else to try besides repeating the entire process.
Please help.

i have a quick question, will this allow two gtx1060s to run in sli? nvidia removed the sli fingers on the 60 series cards so it cant be done natively. this may have been answered in the thread but i only read the first and last pages cause i did not feel like reading threw 85 pages. my friend has a gtx1060 (both of ours our PNY 6gb version) and i would be interested to see how this plays out.

Yes, it will work. I know because i just did it myself. I now have 2 Zotac mini 6Gb GTX 1060's running in SLI. The key is to read Challedudes comment above.

The older version will not work on the newer drivers. You have to use the 1.6 version from mgi125 on page 81.

The cards will run in SLI without the SLI bridge. They will use the PCIe express bus. This might have some impact of performance but it does work. There's 2 videos on youtube where a guy runs 2 and later 3 gtX 750ti's in SLI using this hack. The GTX 750's also did not "offiically" support SLI and as such do not have the SLI connector. Seeing those videos is what inspired me to try this with the 1060's.

However, it seems not to work for me I have recently upgraded from a GT610 to GT710. I seemed to have followed the instructions successfully, but am not able to enable SLI in the Nvidia control panel. GPU-z definitely shows I am running the forceware on both cards. I wonder if I did something incorrectly, or if these non-identical cards are not even worth combining. Does anyone have a suggestion?

after the windows 10 update to build 1607, nvlddmkm.sys is no longer located in c:\windows\system32\drivers. I did a search for the file and it appears in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository... but when I copy that file to the differentsliauto folder I get patching unsuccessful. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers but nvlddmkm.sys does not install to c:\windows\system32\drivers. is there a work around for this?

for me is working, i think u need to clean the register by regedit, and delete all the voice with differentsliauto. Also clean the certificate of differentsliauto restart and try again the procedure. Because i have 1607 and work perfect

edit:1 use cert on start and u can open the certificate windows to delete

Veiker, Thanks for the advice. I cleared out all registry entries for DifferentSLIauto and deleted the cert. rebooted. uninstalled drivers, reboot. reinstalled drivers (clean install), reboot. Patched nvlddmkm.sys. booted to safe mode and ran install.cmd. When I reboot to normal mode I have no video driver. checked device manager and I am getting:

"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"

open promt comand (cmd) as admin and copy paste this one for time

the nvlddmkm.sys is inside system32-driverstore-filerepository-nvdisp (folder) u can find there, copy on differentsli folder and patch it.

change the user controll setting and put on zero

reboot safemode and before u open instal.cmd as admin u need to download this install and use it instead of that on differentsli auto folder, delete the original and use mine.

Edit this install and u need to change the address of every nvdispi ex: inside install u have nv_dispi.inf_amd64_c775b600ccf2cdac, u need to paste above ur directory, the same that u take it for the nvlddmkm.sys and is different for every version of driver nvidia (my one ex: is this nv_dispi.inf_amd64_3f929cc119e3b994) u just exchange with ur one insiede the install have 3 if i remember just check it u will get it.

after everything run install and have to show u 1 file copied thats is it.

go inside sistem32 and open msconfing for back to normal mode
