4 way sli? Thought all that ended years ago?

Negative, I personally brought it back to life & been doing it for over 3 + years with excellent results but takes tons of time tuning.

When tuning on my 4 GTX 970's, to do and learn everything on your own, including nvidia inspector bit tuning, its going to take about a year just to smooth it out, that's if you did and learned everything on your own, please feel free to visit my extreme 4-Way Sli thread, what everyone thought was impossible, proved them all wrong.

My only SLI experience was with GTX 970 SLI 5 years ago..

But yeah, the point of the whole thread is to have a more or less working non-official SLI solution

Just heads up, I have gotten these drivers to work:

388.71, 417.35 & 430.85.

I can only get up to or slighly higher then 2 way for the 4 Titan V's.

And yes, you will also need to change one of the unknown ID settings within nvidia inspector to use more then 2 Titan V's other benchmark programs, this bypass also applies to the Pascal Gpu's.

Under NVCP, it says anything more then 2 gpu's is for benchmark programs only, erh wrong, there is a bypass to everything, many thanks to Venturi on helping me on this.

Speaking of which, I am in constant communication with Venturi, you all might heard of him on other forums, he is helping me alot in this as we speak.

Also in addition to all of this, for those who are seriously into tuning Sli in general and with nvidia inspector, feel free to post a comment on our forum within guru3d .com, I will always reply very quickly.

One more thing, the only game that works under DX12 right off the back with no tuning required (Also applies to 4 Titan Xp's/Top Pascal Gpu), is non other then Rise of the Tomb Raider, but with the Titan V's, even under 2-Way Sli, its a no go, DX11, yes, but needs to be fine tuned within nvidia inspector, even then, still requires much work.

Running on install.cmd instead of downloading it should be fine, the timestamp can be appended to the certificate.

During my testing some boards specifically these new chinese manufacture boards showing up on the market will not do any SLI no matter what version of differentautosli you try to use or even editing hex as per the instructions in this forum. It just won't work. Even these so called amd crossfire Chinese board are very poor performers in crossfire when tested.They just don't seem to have have what it takes to get it done. nvme drives are useless perfomers on these boards as well.. waste of money. It would be impossible to say this for every chinese motherboard out there but in my testing they are terrible. I tested ever single amd driver all the way back to 13.1 I think it was. 17.10.1 is the last driver they have to support 4 way cross fire after that it's limited to 3way. As far as I know nvidia no longer supports SLI.

My instruction for enabling SLI on a non SLI board in Windows 10 with differentsliauto1.4 works every single time for me, everytime, just the way I wrote it step by step. Just not on the new Chinese boards that I tested. I currently have two different dual cpu e5-2697-v2 pc with Quad SLI GTX690 running flawlessly on both. I can play games, perform benchmarks....etc. no crashes, no bsod, no problems. I don't wish to pay the high prices or fight for newer cards on the market. Crossfire and SLI's whole sales pitch was to add more cards to get more perfomance. It makes no difference to me using an old driver as the new drivers are not best suited to older cards anyway not to mention I think they don't support SLI anyway.

I felt I have to reply to this even though it's a year old. I also am using a dual CPU Chinese board right now and what annoys me the most is they gave me 0 documentation. From my understanding to get SLi to work both GPUs PCIE lanes must talk to the same CPU, my Asus board had that clearly documented so I knew which PCIE ports I could use, this one does not. Just want to confirm if you tried multiple PCIE port combinations?

One thing that annoys me about this entire topic in general is that it's not that the capability is not there in hardware, it's Nvidia blocking it with its drivers. In my case my problem is this board is not SLi certificated, I am going to investigate at what stage during driver installation this check is done.

The nvlddmkm.sys file is missing from C:\Windows\System32\Drivers. I think system reads it directly from C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_e2ba695c42c94535 . If I could just paste the patched file there I think SLI would kick in. But the system won't let me paste the file in that folder. Can that folder be unlocked?

Please do so at your own risk. I don't think it can be canceled, but how about deleting all the saved nv drivers (oemNN.inf) referring to https://ik4.es/en/como-borrar-la-carpeta-filerepository-en-driverstore/
