Slow Computer Start-Up

Hello! I am posting in regards to my boyfriend's computer.

When he turns on the computer, it takes almost 15 minutes before anything will respond.

I opened his Task Manager and switched the tab to Services and saw a whole heap of junk running at start-up. I'm not sure what processes to stop, so I am asking for advice.

Needs specs. Probably never defragged or ran disk cleanup before. Ive had a odd slow down boot up. It was faulty...

That's fairly normal. List your boyfriends hardware and well see what else might be causing it

Its probably programs, toolbars, cluttered registry and a slow drive

I'm thinking Glary, defrag Registry, AFTER a CCleaner of the Registry...multiple times, until there are none left to dump!

Spend a few minutes doing this and then restart. Should shave MINUTES off of startup!

Plus, Glary has a Start up manager...looks at everything and tells you it's impact. I have delayed a few processes, to gain start up speed. For instance, do you really NEED STEAM to load at Start? I delayed it 90 seconds. Now I don't get the hourglass on Startup!

First thing you need to do is go through the installed programs and delete the ones you do not want/use.
Then decide on the cleanup and method/program to use.
