small concern about bios flashing

Here's the deal.

I have a HD6850 from Gigabyte.

I tried flashing the rom with ones found here, however I kept getting the invalid Subvendor ID, even when I was flashing it with gigabyte BIOSes. When I finally found one with the correct Subvendor ID, I flashed it, no problems.. however, upon reboot, my card fell into a jam. No post.

Plugged in my backup card and tried to re-flash it with original bios. No luck there. I thought I might've bricked it and returned it to the store. The AMD card gave absolutely no signs of life (even the fan wasn't turning on )
Now that I have the same one, I've been wishing to try again, seeing that the library of ROMs has increased.

How do I know which one to get? Which one won't jam my card? I'll upload a GPU-Z Screen and I really hope someone could help me out.

Here's the GPU-Z Screenie

Sincerely.. User

Hi

Why are you flashing this card? [returned a vga card you bricked!]

Use afterburner softwares or other to OC

I have the same card and the only bios compatible is the one that says:
GV-R685D5-1GD/F3_C
Core Clock: 775 MHz
Memory Clock: 1005 MHz

The other bioses are not compatibles because those are for the overclocked version of this card and they are a bit different on the hardware level (no voltage control, memory chips, etc).
GpuZ screen of my card, using the F3_C bios:

You have no reason to flash the video BIOS. If I've posted it once, I've posted it a million times.

Don't flash your video BIOS! If it's not broken, don't fix it. If you have to ask, you shouldn't be doing it.

Some people disagree with me, but in most cases unless your a professional overclocker, you have no reason to flash the video BIOS. So unless there is something wrong with your GPU, don't take the chance. It's not worth it. Flashing your video BIOS is not a mythical creature that can mysteriously make your video card turn water into wine, so don't treat it as such. It's a procedure that (you found out,) can destroy your card. Just don't do it, your experience won't be that much better if you succeed anyways. It's high risk with little payout. That's call a bad investment. :)

You can't just flash any old BIOS onto your card....
If your that interested in getting better performance out of you card try using MSI Afterburner...
If after you do that and you still want more you can always learn how to enhance the bios on your card...

Using a program like RBE..you copy your bios an tweak it...but before you do that you should take the time and find out eactly what your card has...such as what memory it has and its limits etc...

I dont know if the OP have a problem with his card but on this case the bios corrects a problem with fan profiles (was to high) and a problem of black screen (when gpu was under heavy load) due to some problem with hynix memory chips.
