I've always wondered how mch sense do MLC drives have in enterprise environment? Considering the workloads, don't they wear out to fast? One way servers, not so much since it's mostly reading that doesn't wear out the drives. But what about transient servers that also accept heavy uploading? That wouldn't last long...

The real question is how fast can it boot Windows?

Same questions here, seeing they mention the iops you would think this is for a transient server.

Hotobu for the price of this SAS ssd + the SAS add in card you would be better of getting 4 or 6 ssd's in raid0 ending up with 2.5GB/s transfer or close to that just to boot windows for the same price.

It's a SAS drive. I don't think they are running much Windows on these...
