Logitech MX 400 USB laser mouse, has lasted almost 9 years. Started acting up, so replaced it with an NOS ( new old stock ) one I found on Ebay.

I bought rather cheap (90 kn / 12€) Prestigio Racer PJ-MSO1 for my Dell SXPS16 laptop in early 2010. It still works like a charm today without any issues and I have been (ab)using it a lot since I don't like touchpads in general. :)

My current Sharkoon Shark Force for PC has some issues like sometimes not responding to the click when I click gently. It happened a few times in the last 5 or so months, so I will replace it soon if the problem persists. Right now it's 2,5 years old. As a matter of fact I will replace it soon because I'm unable to clean rubberized surface, so "dirt" is quite visible on the green mouse.

I also had Logitech RX-1000 Laser with my previous PC and it worked for ~4 years without any issues.

sadly, most most recent mouse of 6 months just died yesterday, apparently due to a rather bad case of felixpurrrrfectuschowdownum disease :)

My Logitech G600 has recently started developing that seemingly inevitable double-clicking issue. You know, the one where you click once but it registers as two rapid clicks. Apparently Logitech's mice are infamous for this problem (my old G5 suffered from the same fate) and my recent indulgence in Diablo-clones didn't help matters. I've had the mouse for about 5 years now and plan on opening it up in an attempt to fix it.

Anyway, inspired by a recent thread, I'd like to ask the fine folks here at TPU how long their mice last. Info on model and usage level would be nice too.
Never that problem with the Logitech mice I have. Interesting. As for how long mice last me, I have and original Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer that still works perfectly. Most of my mice are more than 5 years old.

Yep, still have a fully working MX518 that I have had for years. I owned two and the first one died to rage but I loved it so much I ordered another one. I ended up upgrading over the past year or so but the mx518 still works

As many already posted here, I already had my "double-click instead of single" problem on a Logitech mouse - 7 years old VX nano. Swapped the chinese omron switch with a new one (also chinese because the local shop only had those) and it's still going strong. My impression is that Logitech products lost their legendary quality and reliability now. Mice seem cheaply built, not as solid as they used to be. So I got a Zalman ZM-GM4 (my profile pic) that look like a R.A.T. clone but is really good and the adjustable height-width-length is important to me to achieve a good fit for my hand. It is starting to develop the double-click issue as well, but I already bought a switch to replace.

I go about 2 years each on a Microsoft Basic Optical v2.1 model 1094, they cost me about $4 each and eventually the scroll wheel dies or the click becomes too soft to work properly. I have an EC2A that has lasted a while but I barely use it except for games that require a good sensor. It would be nice if there were mice that were the same shape as the Basic Optical, its the best shape I have used. EC2A is slightly too wide.

I have a Performance MX for cca. 8-9 years still rocking but the double-click issue got it at its age of 3-4. I really like this mouse so I was searching and I've found this guide and I've managed to fix it. The issue has never came back despite playing Diablo3 quite a lot.
Only thing you need beside the tools is a decent amount of patience as putting the switch back together is no joke but a serious pita.

Still using the Logitech G502 since august 2015. Before that I had a Mionix Naos 7000 but within a year the buttons and scroll wheel became mushy.

I've personally never understood what the big draw is to their products. I've had a couple of their mice ,one of their keyboards, and I had several of their headsets, all of which were utter trash. In my opinion they are devices that console gamers think are good because theyve never had anything better. Kind of like someone who eats McDonald's every day and thinks it's the best thing in the world ,because they've never had anything else.

Razer is either not what they were to gain theyre reputation, or it was all fake feedback/buzz, or users with little exp.

of course I'm not going to speak on their top-tier items ,because just about every company (including the terrible ones) have $200 and $300 high-end models of everything ,that tend to be at least passable , I'm speaking mostly of the mid to high mid tier stuff, The stuff the nine out of 10 people are going to buy.

My first actual gaming mouse, Razer Naga 2014.

Mouse worked great for about 4 months or so after I got, then the first issue:

1st issue, about 4 months after purchase: tracking problems that lasted for days. I tried many things and eventually came to get the mouse working just fine when it was used on a plain white sheet of printer paper. So I had a piece of white paper as my mouse pad for about week. I got tired of it and eventually put my original mouse pad back and everything was working great like it was the first day I got it.

2nd issue, about 10 months after purchase: 3rd party Razer Synapse software issues. I had to uninstall and then manually clean the registry to remove all issues. I kept the software uninstalled after that......until

3rd issue, about 12 months after purchase: tracking issue again. Nothing I did fixed it. I reached out to Razer support. They had me install the Synapse software again and tracking issue went away....seriously....WTF?

4th issue, about 16 months after purchase: issue with middle mouse button clicks. After some troubleshooting I ended up removing the Synapse software, again, and the middle mouse button issue went away.

5th issue, about 21-22 months after purchase: middle mouse button not working with clicks and scrolling. I reach out to Razer support after my TSing didn't find a resolution. Installed the Synapse software for a third time, middle mouse button worked like the mouse was brand new.

6th issue, about 25 months (3 weeks past 2 year warranty) after purchase: middle mouse button, complete failure. Clicks and scrolling are not working. Tried the mouse on multiple computers, removed and re-installed Synapse, contacted Razer support - nothing got it working again. Razer wouldn't replace/repair the mouse since it was past warranty even though they now had 3 support issues from this mouse.

I no longer buy Razer products. I do not support them. My Logitech G502 has been working without issues for the past 1.5 years; hopefully no issues with her for a long time to come. I even have a 5-button MS mouse that is 9+ years old (I actually found the newegg invoice on this mouse, I purchased it 4/6/2008) that has had hours upon hours of use that still works without issues and it cost me $20. I use it at work, 5 days a week.... How does an $18 mouse last for so long whereas a $70+ gaming mouse has so many issues and mechanical failure just after 2 years?

I've been running a MS Wheel Mouse Optical 1.1A as my daily driver since spring 2003, it's still going strong. Frankly I've grown so fond of it now I can't picture myself holding anything else until I die :D
That is really impressive, I have a few WMO but they are all worn out, either wheel or buttons or both.
