I factory reset my tablet because I haven't used it for years and decided I wanted to freshly have it new. So I factory reset and it takes me to the welcome thing, I choose my language and then it takes me to choose my wifi network I do and it connects (I have a full wifi thing) but when it "checking internet connection" it takes forever and then it says "could not connect to internet try again" I can't skip this setting to get into my tablet and I don't know what to do now.

I've only tried mine. Though all the other devices in the house connect well. I'll probably try to connect to McDonalds when I head in that direction later? Or does it have to be a network with a wifi password

I'm sure McDonalds has a guest network you can jump on.

If it does not connect try to reboot it again and maybe try to reset the router. Look at what it says in the network settings.
Found some try fixes but it seems to be mostly unsuccessful.

I have the same tablet. Tried to use mine just to look at my security cameras. I've had it for years just sitting around. Was working good but cannot get it online for anything. Same routers I've always had. Took it to work and it still didn't work. Used various hotspots and still no go. It's good for a child to play on. Sideload apps to it and give it away to some kid that needs some games.. well you cant sideload because you cant get into it.. same for me.. I'm throwing it away..
