Socket 939 Opterons history?

Seems like the Opteron for the 939 socket will vanish faster than the BH-5 chips for die hard memory overclockers were sold out. There is some internal info that AMD will stop selling these chips soon and considering that they cannot really be found at local (r)etailers may be a soon of their demise. Other CPUs on that list include the Sempron 2500+, 3100+ & Athlon64 3000+, 3200+ & 3500+. So go grab them as long as they are still available.

Wow I knew they were getting rid of the 3000+, but the 3200+ and 3500+ seems a little overkill. I guess I could understand getting rid of the 939 Opteron. It's too much of a rival to the Athlon I suppose.

They're probably fazing them out so they can replace them with newer dual core chips.
