The 6870 is more or less the same as the 560 non Ti. If you're on a tight budget get whatever is cheaper. Both are on average 15% better than the 6850. And yes X4 is okay if you cannot step into Sandy Bridge territory.

I vote in favor to GTX 560 ti, because like performance it's faster than the 6950 & here in Spain you can get a brand new for less than 155 Euro...

If that is the case for her than it is obviously the best deal. Otherwise, a 6950 is acceptable. It has been said twice but I will re-iterate; getting an X6 instead of an X4 does NOT help with gaming performance. If you don't need a case (which is implied), you could probably do a budget SB setup, or even chance it with an i3-2100 (I prefer the i5-2400 as a low-end option). My friend just built a whole new comp for around $700 USD that has an i5-2500k/4GB DDR3-1600/AMD 6850. So I'm sure it can be done if you chopped some stuff out.
