Sometimes system won't boot

Hey

Sometimes I have a problem. When I start system, Windows has hangs when I see Win 7 logo. I must reboot computer and now Win starts fine.

Where is the problem?

how is that going to fix anything. Sounds more like his system is having trouble loading drivers at the start if it's hanging.

Try a different sata cable and check your connections.
Check your bios and make sure your boot order is set for the first boot device (your boot drive) and not scanning other devices first.
Make sure you have no usb drives plugged in and no download discs in your cd/dvd drives.
Use something like autoruns or msconfig.exe to make sure there is not something trying to start that should not be there or is causing a problem.

DDD did not put in a eloquent way; however, MSE could have missed something.
So the OP should try another a/v or malware detector/cleaners (malwarebytes, superantispyware, tdsskiller, hitman, etc.), as it is possible the op has a boot device driver (or other) that could be corrupted by malware.

@op--> you may want to, also, run "sfc /scannow" to check for system file corruption and try running a system repair from the windows disc recovery console

I restore BIOS setting to default and for now, it's no problem with start. I will test this.

if it can be fixed with a bios reset, its probably hardware related. maybe you should lower your overclocks a bit and see.

or maybe some kind of configuration in the bios was off.

also, it didnt come to my mind before as i was studying then, but do you use selective start up? i.e. tweak in msconfig? if so then try the normal boot option.

I once had a similar problem at work... IT looked at it for about 1/2 a day and found out it was a conflict between a setting in BIOS and windows. With every restart, it would reset back and fourth so the computer would only start properly every other time. I can't recall what the setting was!

Hmm in BIOS, my system disk(SSD) is on the position P2 and HDD on the P1. I remember that on my old mobo it was the same. So why my system disk is on the second position? Disk 1. Disk 0 - HDD.

Ive had a peace of hardware on occasion cause a hang on boot. It would just sit there for like 6 min then boot. Unplugged the hardware (hot swap drive) boots fine. reinstall the hardware boots normal. Not sure why
