Here I will link you guys 2 videos with the same content. One was rendered in sony vegas, the other one on adobe premiere:

Sony vegas ->
Adobe premiere ->

Both videos are mp4 rendered in 1080p and 60fps with 20mb bitrate...

Now explain me why does vegas produce such shity 60 fps videos? You can clearly see the diference on how Premiere is much more smooth...

Thoughts?

Adobe looks like its running more like 30fps to be fair... Vegas looks more 'true' to my preception of FPS numbers.....

More FPS = more twitch = less smoothness?

Just a theory.

First off, your PC is rendering the game (GTA V?) at an uncapped framerate, so no way can you achieve proper smooth motion this way. Since the framerate is so high, it will look semi-smooth and judder noticeably at other times. You need to vsync lock it, record the video and then be sure what framerate it's being captured at.

Then, you're better off making panning motions, rather than all that jumping around with the mouse and looking downwards, so a strafing run back and forth and looking sideways (left and right keyboard keys only) would be the thing to do.

Both videos looked about the same to me.

Post a couple of videos like this and the community will be able to give you a straight answer to your question.

An example of a video done by vegas:

Now by adobe:

Can you spot the diference fps wise? In some parts the sony vegas one will look weird and not smooth 60fps as for the adobe its always 60fps fluid gameplay. The game is GTA IV, I'm recording with shadowplay and locking them down to 60fps is not a option as it is a huge disadvantage for playing online.

edit: watch the videos to their max lenght. dont just watch 10 sec and make a judge.
