Hi guys,

I had Xperia Go, but my device was defected, so I now have full compensation. I'm very worried about Sony software problems, so maybe someone can help me decide. Sony Xperia Go and Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 have same price point.

Xperia Go advantages:
1. Small and light
2. Water proof

Disadvantages:
1. Only official Android 4.0, no Jelly Bean
2. Headphone jack is covered

Galaxy Ace 2 advantages:
1. Official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, maybe 4.2 in the future
2. 480x800 resolution
3. Normal headphone jack

Disadvantages:
1. Lame design
2. Larger and more heavier

Well, if you're gonna throw your phone every day, then Xperia Go is a no brainer. But, the Ace 2 looks like a good all-round smartphone. Jelly Bean, WVGA res, PLS screen.

But, you have to tell us what are you gonna do with the phone.

I have Optimus 4X HD (4.7 inch) and I want smaller phone for sport and stuff like that (Nike Running, Google My Tracks). Of course, I will not throw my phone every day and I will use armband case, but I think I will buy Ace 2 this time because of Jelly Bean, WVGA resolution and PLS screen.

I have ace1 and I like what I got for the money. Sony might look better but I wouldn't trade Ace's handling and mechanical home button for anything. My wife has HTC one V and its really lame felling not to have that button.
Id go for Ace2 buts its a subjective opinion. Res is higher, other specs seem to point towards the Sony...
