At the moment I have the amazing ALC889A HD on my mobo, with Logitech 5300s plugged to it. While I find this satisfactory, I'm looking to step up. Gaming to movie ratio is about 50/50.

Contenders:
- Auzen Forte - I've heard good things about it, and it has the CA20k2
- Auzen Bravura - new card, looks sick (in a good way), can't find reviews, not sure what chip it uses, likely a CA0110
- old pci X-Fi Fat - haven't used it for over a year, in gf's PC now
- just stick with the amazing onboard ALC889A HD...

Now, EAX doesn't matter that much to me, simply because there's next to no games using it nowadays. How about a quality difference between the Forte and Bravura in OpenAL? Does the Bravura have any clear-cut advantages over the Forte?

Can anyone who has tried both help me decide? Or should I try to procure the X-Fi Fat back? Rob a bank and drop the extra cash for a AuzenTech X-FI Hometheater HD? Look for new speakers (not likely anytime soon)? I know opinion on sound is to a a bit subjective, but any advice would be appreciated.

Shameless bump...

C'mon people, I can get an OK deal on both cards for the next 3 days. Isn't there anyone who has the Bravura on this forum?

Auzen Forte or Bravura? Even if you haven't tried both, please make a suggestion. Which on would you pick and why?

I'm in the same situation like you. I can't decide over Forte or Bravura. However I use headphones sennheisser HD650, so I think I should stick with Bravura, for the dedicated DAC for headphones.

But one part I don't like it's Bravura because it's only EAX 4, and maybe emulated, is EAX so that important?

The Forte is a better card all around. The Forte has the same specs as the Bravura, but is better in all specs.

We went threw it all with in Bta's news thread. here

Me being a Forte owner, I say... My opamp change makes my Z5500 raddle the windows at 30%..

Chomes, if you set up the settings right, you'll be blown away at the quality of the forte. It's a great buy no matter how you look at it.
