[WTB][US] Sound card

Title pretty much sums it up. Onboard audio is borked on my z68 and I can't be bothered to RMA. Preferably someone stops by who has an extra just idling that's compatible with Windows 7 x64. Thanks again guys! :toast:

I think I have an OLD sound card its PCI if you want it. how did the sound die?

No idea dude. Stopped working. I was running my main rig headless most of the day yesterday, getting Windows XP setup on the old P4. Turned off the Sandy, and connected everything and found that discovery. Windows detects whenever I plug into the jacks and everything, it just doesn't output. Tested the speakers on both my rezound and the dell.

Just as long as it can do Windows 7, I'll be happy.

I don't know about windows 7 but I can try it out for ya. It came from an old PIII rig so I bet its a AC97 or something similar. I will start looking for it this afternoon. My PC closet is a mess! I will post a picture of my closet as well HAHAHA

Is your sound defaulting to HDMI or the onboard?

I think I have a Audigy SE PCI card laying around. I'll find out by this evening.

Nope. Trust me I know it does sound odd as this would be the FIRST hardware failure I would had within 4 years time, OTHER than a hdd that needed rma'd.
