To make a long story short and get to the point, dose anyone have any tips/tricks on getting the stuff off? i've tried using goo-gone with a paint scraper and it dosent work very well. any ideas tips or tricks would be most appriciated

Electric contact cleaner usually dissolves most adhesives. Just make sure it does not melt the paint ( unless your not worried about that).

Well, i ended up getting freeze spray & using the paint scraper to get it off, it was a bitch and took alot of elbow grease but i eventualy got it all off.
