Sound dampening mats?

Do sound dampening mats/foams work well for reducing noise? If so, where can I find them? The only place I know is Xoxide.com. Anyone know of other places and brand?

I just go to a local hardware/ carpet store and buy sheets of carpet padding. My favorite to use is Sound Solution, it's expense but worth it if noise bothers you that much. Just measure what you need and tell them how much you need, usually by foot/yard.

That is why I like Sound Solution padding. It's not as thick but NOWHERE near as pores as regular old carpet padding.

Are there any "pre-made" "made-of-pc" products? I don't like the idea of going to the hardware to make and glue stuff. Just looking for good quality mats that I can just peel and stick and be done with.

You can use car audio sound dampening if it's cheaper. www.crutchfield.com

Otherwise Akasa sells the stuff.
