Sound From Laptop/PC To TV?

My TV has a 3.5mm jack for PC audio, do I just plug a cable like this from the laptop or PC to the TV and I will get audio from the TV or is there some sort of catch, it seems to easy.

if the cable that you linked doesn't work.but i don't see why it wouldn't

I had this problem with connecting my laptop to my tv so I made my own cable

go to radioshack and get 2 3.5' connectors and some wire, and you can make one, all together mine costed a little more than a dollar

You just need to find a 35mm jack cable, you can get them almost anywhere that sells anything to do with audio/video. I use one when connecting my old laptop to my LCDTV, now I just use the HDMI port

If your on about the audio connections next to the D Plug there input as it says on the right side of the white box.
So sound from laptop and picture would be possible though those 3 connections..

EDIT: You will have to change the TV source to the D Plug connection
