Good Morning ,

I need help for to resolve my problem : you are the experts

I have :
-- > Mothercard : MSI Z390 gaming Pro
--> Soundcard : Soundblaster AE-5 Pure Edition
--> Speakers : Kit Logitech Z906 ( DTS , dolby , 5.1 )

Software : SoundBlaster command

So , i have connected Soundcard and Kit logitech with cable SPDIF

My problem is : when i configure in soundbalster command for SPDIF , the software need to active my Microhpone for use SPDIF , ok i active this and when i make a test : i listen all the speakers separatly , it is good BUT when i would listen a simple mp3 , only speakers right and left FRONT works !!!

and if i try to change a configuration with speaker ( default ) : i have all speaker works but it is not 5.1 ( dts )

I don't no why ?

if you have a solution , or tell me how i must to configure for to have DTS 5.1 works

Thank you so much for your help

Music comes in stereo (2 channels), to expand it to 5 speakers, you need to increase the surround spectrum in SoundBlaster Command or in the media player.

If it doesn't work, try doing it on the media player. Fo example, foobar2000 has convert stereo to surround DSP.

The source isn't DTS and therefore the output isn't neither.

Try VLC with HDMI/SPDIF audio passthrough on. But take in mind that encoding MP3s to DTS will not improve the quality.
