H all,

I have two Sparkle 8800 GT's in SLI.

They are both Revision 2.

One of the has this BIOS:

http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/1024/Sparkle.8800GT.512.071023.html

The other has this:

http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/5923/Sparkle.8800GT.512.071206.html

and this is the latest BIOS posted to the BIOS DB:

http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/5724/Sparkle.8800GT.512.080107.html

To sum up:

1st Card:

GPU Device Id: 0x10DE 0x0611
Version: 62.92.16.00.05

2nd Card:

GPU Device Id: 0x10DE 0x0611
Version: 62.92.1F.00.00

New BIOS:

GPU Device Id: 0x10DE 0x0611
Version: 62.92.23.00.00

ATM i can reach 700 / 1800 / 2100 clocks without problems which are by default : 600 / 1500 / 1900

I want that they both have the same BIOS. I will check for the timings too.

And another question:

If one of the cards fails after flashing, can i reflash it without a PCI VGA card, via second 8800 GT?

Thanks...

Hi :)

Yes, you can reflash your bad card if you you have one of these MoBo solutions :
- SLI mobo ( your case ) ;
- Cross Fire mobo also with another ATi or Nvidia card ;
- Mobo with GFX integrated chip.

Be carefull to notice in bios sequence the right card to flash ;)
A solution is flashing your card using ( in monitoring ) another card brand ( as Ati for Nvidia and vice versa ) : less error this way :cool:

For your O/C bios modding, test each card to catch their max stable clocks and keep the lower tuning for your new bios ( minimum one hour ATi tool stress test validation ).
