Hi guys , i have Sparkle 8800 Gts 512 (g92) as a graphic card. And bought Akasa Vortexx Neo , install on it with Tuniq TX2 tim. And my temperatures are now Load: 75 , Idle: 48. With stock cooler temperatures was Load: 80 , Idle: 58. I think these are bit high , am i right ? Between i plug the vortexx fan pin to mobo and its working 2500 rpm. My card has oc 790 mhz core - 980 mhz memory. Please make comment about my temperatures, thanx. Sorry my english is not so good :ohwell:

I had this very cooler on HD4850. Cooling performance might not be it's best hing, but it performs slightly better than stock at much much lower noise levels. In fact it was able to keep my HD4850 much cooler than stock reference cooler, while it was truly silent. I was using it at low RPM all the time because there was no need to go any higher. Plus i could clock it much higher.

try reseating the heatsink maybe you have too much or too little TIM or maybe you have one side alittle tighter then the other

In all honesty, the Akasa Vortexx Neo isn't really any better then the stock cooler on the G92 8800GTS, in fact it is probably worse in design. Probably the only reason you are getting better temps is because the fan is running full blast when connected to the motherboard. You could have probably gotten the same temps or better simply by manually upping the fan speed on the stock cooler using something like Rivatuner.

@ p_o_s_pc , i've done these steps again but result is same again.

@ newtekie1 , unfortunately you're right , akasa vortexx is more silent then stock cooler even its working full speed.

My 8800GTS 512MB cooler was pretty quiet, even at full blast. It moved a shit load of air too.

In a state of flux...
The Neo I have on an old XFX 8800GT XXX performs so much better than the single slot pile of shit the card came with.

However, with a dual slot cooler and the added heat of the GTS, dont expect miracles.

how is your cable management?
lots of free space for airflow?
and heat outlets for video cards?
is air being recirculating inside the case?
how are you amibent temps like?
is the Cooler properly seated?
what thermal paste are you using?

Here is inside of case , i think cables are not too bad...

and temperatures...

I installed cooler properly , there is no gap between cooler and gpu / vram.

Im using Tuniq TX2 tim.

After i add extra 120 mm fan to side of case , temperatures below 4 degree celcius :)

What jumper do you have the fan connected to on the motherboard? If you have Qfan or something like that and you have the fan connected to a chassis power jumper then your board might be telling the fan that it is infact being used to cool your hard drive/s and therefore would not need to produce the high rpm, have you tried connecting the fan using the 4pin molex adaptor?

Also where is the 120mm fan on the side mounted? looks like it's all abit of a squeeze, even with my Xiggy I'm unable to have a small 80mm fan on the side due to mounting position.
