cpu is not needed or ram just board
must have 8 sata ports and support for atleast 8gb ram

also cannot find on the net for sale anywhere
is a sapphire toxic hd 5850 2gb i really want one of these

Did you clear the CMOS? That will cause a no post issue depending on original owners chip and ram.

I've got a pair of X5650's that I'd do $70 shipped for the pair.

The only problem, I think one of them is bad so you might only end up with a single chip. But, it could have been the motherboard that didn't like the chip. I had them in a 2P system and it would act real odd until I installed a couple of other chips. Which were 5500 series chips. The board wasn't supposed to run the 5600's so it may just have been that.

And, I don't have a single socket board to test them to see if one is bad.

i cleared the cmos double checked i had compatible ram and cpu but the cpu mever even got warm even when rtun with the cooler off

lol dunno arround 50 or so,if it has issues thats fine so long as i can install/run windows and all the sata ports work as well as lan

Yeah, I don't trust eVGA anymore. My first motherboard from them went bad, then they sent me a board where none of the SATA ports worked and blamed me for damaging it. When I did manage to get a good board, it lasted just as long as the first without any of the abuse and ended up dead. I had also picked up another one that didn't last too long before I was finding a replacement board.. The only reason I have the current eVGA board is because it was bundled with other things I wanted and boots the Xeon.
